A reverse supermarket where
people donated baskets of food
01
Cultural relevance
Food banks were under
increasing pressure, and
FareShare and the Trussel
Trust were expected to
need to provide support
for more than 1.2m people
over Christmas.
02
Originality
We launched the Give
Back Express next to
London’s busiest shopping
street on Black Friday to
encourage people to put
their money to a good
cause in place of
purchasing items they
may not need.
03
Unified Thinking
The pop-up acted as the
official launch of Tesco’s
in-store Winter Food
Collection. As well as
acting as a place to
donate on the day, all
messaging encouraged
people to donate in-store.
04
NARRATIVE-LED
Spokespeople from
FareShare and the Trussel
Trust delivered hard
hitting messaging and
overall the campaign
showed that Tesco was
helping the nation.
