Splendid marks 21st birthday with new brand, new era and AI powered foresight platform

Jess Proudfoot,

Director

10th July 2025 – Splendid is marking its 21st anniversary by unveiling a bold new chapter: a refreshed brand identity, a future-facing proposition, and the launch of its own AI-powered foresight tool – Splendid Mind.

The agency’s sharpened positioning – “Powered by people. Fuelled by tech.” – sets out its ambition for the next stage of growth: to blend people-first creativity with digital intelligence, making brand storytelling more effective, future-facing and culturally resonant.

As part of this evolution, Splendid is investing in digital tools and training, starting with the launch of Splendid Mind an AI strategy tool deeply rooted in its global thought leader network. Much of this insight is derived from Splendid alumni, collaborators and partners, past, present and future, including Alex Weller (Patagonia), Steve Braines (Defected), and Alice Smith (award winning Film Director).

The first edition is based on insight from 21 of these global cultural thinkers and creative minds, creating a platform that helps Splendid identify emerging trends and cultural shifts for brands with greater breadth of perspective, speed and precision.

A free ‘lite’ version of Splendid Mind is now available on the agency’s website, giving clients an opportunity to generate early strategic and creative thinking in response to a brief. Splendid is always keen for clients to collaborate in the creative process, with the belief that the best alignment between business strategy and creative effectiveness is achieved in partnership.

“We’ve always helped brands stay culturally relevant, but relevance is no longer enough,” said Alec Samways, CEO and founder of Splendid. “Great brands don’t just follow culture, they shape it. With Splendid Mind, we want to give clients an edge – combining AI intelligence with real-world cultural expertise to make faster, braver and, crucially, more widely informed decisions. We must think beyond the industry bubble and the best use of digital tools is to expand our minds, not reduce or replace them.

“This isn’t about replacing people,” Samways added. “It’s about making them sharper. We’re building tools that enhance creativity, not just efficiency – and we’re putting them in the hands of our clients too.”

The launch of Splendid Mind is the first in a series of AI-led initiatives Splendid has planned over the next 12 months. A dedicated LLMO (Large Language Model Optimisation) offer – designed to help brands improve their visibility in an AI-first search landscape – will follow later this year.

“Clients expect more – so why not give it to them?” said Jess Proudfoot, Senior Director at Splendid. “Splendid Mind is just one of the ways we’re delivering richer thinking upfront and connecting clients to our broader network of cultural collaborators.”

Alongside the platform, the agency has also released The 21 Panel Report: Future-Facing Insight, Built for Brands, featuring perspectives from changemakers.
