“I would not be where I am today without the Splendid Futures programme. Fact.
It is truly unlike any other internship. The team gets you involved straight off the bat, whether that is joining creative brainstorms, drafting content or press materials or supporting on content shoots, you will immediately get stuck in. Daily check ins with your mentor will give you the chance to seek out opportunities to try new things and identify areas in which you want to gain more experience. For me, this was getting the chance to work with social media listening tools to identify audience insights which, in turn, inspired a personal passion for insight and strategy. Since then, I have been able to carve a role for myself, working my way to become a Content Strategist, a role which I had not previously considered. In fact, this role was not part of the Splendid team structure, until I shared my interests and ambitions during my Career Review process. The investment in your growth and development is clear from day dot of the internship and it really is designed to set you up for a long-term career. Plus, you get to work with some iconic brands and a wicked team.”
Chelsie Tang, Senior Content Strategist & Splendid Futures Graduate
“The Splendid Futures programme is such a great way to get started in PR. From day one, you’re involved in real work—writing press releases, doing audits, helping out with campaigns, and working with loads of different clients. It’s super hands-on and gives you a real feel for what agency life is like.
One of the best parts for me was being able to explore the parts of PR I’m most interested in. I had regular catch-ups with my mentor, which meant I could really shape the experience around what I wanted to learn.
Alongside this, it’s a pleasure to work with a really supportive team - lots of people started out on the programme, so they get what it’s like and are always happy to help. With such a fun, friendly atmosphere and loads of learning opportunities, it’s a brilliant way to kick off a career in PR.”
Emily Moss, Account Executive & Splendid Futures Graduate
“The Splendid Futures internship was the kick start I didn’t know I needed in the weird, wonderful, and whacky world of PR and Communications. Not only has it paved the way for a career in a profession I love but it has also given me a refreshing and positive view on workplace attitude and overall good vibes!
It has been a fantastic opportunity for me to truly flourish and progress at a rate I never thought possible. My skills have been nurtured and developed from the beginning as a fresh graduate to today for which I am very grateful. If you want to fly, you really will! I have the luxury of working across both PR and social media, gaining valuable insight into each channel individually but also seeing them cross over for various campaigns which gives me the opportunity to flex both sides of my comms brain.
The internship was a real pivotal time for me in which I moved to a new city and had a ‘big girl job’ – I was supported throughout this process (still am today!) and have made friends for life. I will always be grateful for the Futures programme.”
Jasmine Kerley, Senior PR & Social Account Executive & Splendid Futures Graduate
“The Splendid Futures programme offers the best possible start in the world of PR and social, there’s simply nothing else like it. After just six months, I couldn’t believe how much I had learnt. The best part is that you're immersed in the world of PR from day one, surrounded by a supportive team and mentors who are there to help you grow and love to see you succeed.”
Jess Fulton, Account Executive & Splendid Futures Graduate
“The Splendid Futures programme was my first real dive into PR – and what a ride. From day one, I was thrown into action: supporting on campaigns, writing press releases, and even pitching to journalists. It was busy, hands-on, and full of that fast-paced agency buzz you always hear about.
I got to try a bit of everything, and I figured out what I was good at (and what I actually enjoyed). Every day brought something new, and I loved how much trust and responsibility we were given from the get-go.
Fast forward two years and I’m still at Splendid – I can honestly say the Futures programme gave me such a solid foundation. It built my confidence, gave me practical experience, and introduced me to an incredibly supportive team. If you’re thinking about a career in PR, there’s no better place to start.”
