THE KING IN THE CASTLE • TESCO

With a third of the nation planning to celebrate the King’s Coronation, and many people worried about the cost of three May bank holidays, we launched the first ever Tesco pub, ‘The King in the Castle’, to help the nation come together and celebrate the occasion for less by offering a pub experience at supermarket prices. The activity delivered 379 pieces of coverage, and a market-winning value earned media share of voice of 19%, reaching 70% of all UK adults with positive Tesco messaging. As a result of the activity, Tesco was the most searched supermarket linked to the Coronation.
