An influencer-led campaign for Tesco

THE CHALLENGE
Drive conversation around Showcase Cinemas during the Oscars ceremony.

PEOPLE-FIRST INSIGHT
The Oscars is a highlight in the diary for film and lifestyle fans who wish they could be part of it.

THE STORY
We handpicked 10 lifestyle influencers and offered them the chance to take part in a game of Showcase Oscars Bingo.

Stage 1 – We offered the influencers a VIP trip to their local Showcase Cinema ahead of the Oscars ceremony to get them in the mood for a film-filled weekend. We encouraged them to write about their experience on their blog.

Stage 2 – We sent them each a specially designed hamper, filled with Oscars-themed goodies to have a night in to remember and feel as though they’re part of the ceremony. We created and included a bespoke Oscars Bingo card, so while watching the ceremony, they could play along and tweet about their experience with a designated hashtag.

Showcase Cinemas engaged with the influencers on social media throughout the evening.

 

THE OUTCOME

Showcase cinemas was part of the hottest film conversation of the year. 11 pieces positive sentiment blog coverage, 115 social media posts using #oscarsbingo and @showcasecinemas, 754,683 OTS.
