Online influencer campaign to help boost organic search rankings for MoneySuperMarket

THE CHALLENGE
MoneySuperMarket was fluctuating between position two and three on Google for the key term ‘home insurance’ and needed to strengthen and stabilise its position at number two. To help achieve this, we needed to earn quality links from high authority sites.

PEOPLE-FIRST INSIGHT
As Easter approaches, many households prepare to undertake DIY jobs but few people know that making changes to the home can have an impact on their home insurance policy.

THE STORY
We invited a handful of cherry-picked influencers to take part in a home improvement project with MoneySuperMarket.

The influencers were selected based on being able to deliver in-depth coverage on high authority, relevant sites across a variety of verticals including home interest, personal finance and general lifestyle.

Equipping them with new research findings, a branded toolbox including DIY vouchers and expert advice from home improvement TV ‘face’ Jo Behari, we negotiated feature length coverage on their sites.

HOW IT TRAVELLED
Inbound links to MoneySuperMarket’s home insurance landing page delivered a steady number two position during the live period and beyond.

Conversion of traffic to quotes increased by nearly +10% points in the time immediately after the campaign.

Added value was achieved through social posts on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, using the ownable hashtag #MSMHomeImprove.

 

THE OUTCOME
