CALLING ALL KIDS:
ITV LAUNCHES THE #ITVKIDSCREATE PROJECT
Staying indoors during these uncertain times can be frustrating for most, especially those with little ones. To help prevent any potential boredom, ITV has launched a new campaign to get the nation’s kids to flex their creative muscles during lockdown. #ITVKidsCreate encourages children across the UK to pick up their pens, pencils and paints to create artwork that could potentially be projected onto ITV logo idents during the channel’s ad breaks – each child whose work is shown will also be credited on screen.
The entry process is very simple – parents or guardians need to post a photo of the artwork to Twitter or Instagram using #ITVKidsCreate and tag @ITV. Submissions opened this week and close on Sunday April 19th.
It’s great to see networks such as ITV look at ways they are able to engage their younger audiences, particularly during a time in which they not only have more free time, but are also likely to be watching TV. We’ll keep our eyes peeled in the coming weeks to see what masterpieces make their way onto the small screen.
